1) Do you supply a drawing ?

Answer: we work both ways we can design something for you or take your drawing and bring it to life. We may need to make some design changes to your drawings as we work out where vision will be and what it will look like with a real person inside.. all this is free of charge.

2) What happens with the design once it is done?

Answer: when you buy the design it is yours to put on any promotional materials you wish. We will not duplicate you mascot for anyone else. The design is held for 60 days, if you decide to not order the mascot we then put it in our resource file for other mascot ideas. Up Front owns the copyright of all designs provided to you unless you buy the mascot, or design from us. Once the mascot is sold to you the design is then yours.

3) After the design has been established what is next?

Answer: the next step is to get your 50% non refundable deposit. We then order the fabrics, confirm with you all the costume details and begin the patterns.

4) What happens if I need changes once it is started?

Answer: if the design was approved and you want changes after we begin construction you may be subject to a fee for the change depending on the stage we are at with the mascot construction.

5) How long will it take to get my mascot once you receive the deposit?

Answer: on average it takes 6 – 8 weeks to make and one week for shipping. Depending on the time of year you order and current production.

6) It is very hot where we are is the mascot hot to wear?

Answer: all mascots are hot to wear. We pay special attention to ventilation and with our method of construction and materials we use this keeps it more comfortable. We also have cooling vests and fan systems both dual or single as well.

7) Do you offer generic or non-custom mascot?

9) How long does it take to make a mascot?

Our production time is typically about 6-8 weeks. Factors that can affect timelines include: special ordering/availability of materials, client approvals, changes & revisions. Special or rush orders can be built in less time and may incur rush charges. Hogtown Mascots specializes in fast turn-around orders, particularly for film, television and major events.

10).Can my mascot be made to talk and/or eyes blink 

Yes,  moving mouths/blink eyes animatronics can be extremely costly and simpler methods of mouth movement require a high degree of skill to make the movements look authentic for the character. projection of sound from inside the mascot to the audience requires an amplifier requiring battery packs and related amplification equipment making the operation of the mascot far more complex than necessary for several actors portraying the character.

11) Can I add electronics to my mascot?

Yes, all mascots can have electronics added including a variety of visual and audible items such as LEDs or light bars, company initials, sound effects like honking horns or pre-recorded messages or tunes. Each can be programmable or controled by the performer.

12) What if I don’t like the mascot when I receive it?

Our client login feature gives you the ability to stay connected to the designing and building process of your mascot. Whether you are around the corner or around the globe, you can approve construction at every stage with the click of a mouse, through regular photo and video updates. This interactive service ensures that we will not ship out any mascot costume until we have final approval from you.

13) What kind of warranty do you offer?

we offer a 1-year warranty from the date of delivery against any manufacturer defects, excluding normal wear and tear. We also provide on-going support in the way of cleaning, repairs & maintenance, storage and refurbishing

All our mascots come with a warranty against manufacturer’s defects. Mascots are custom made to order for each client and even with the strictest quality standards in place, sometimes repairs are unavoidable. It’s important to know that your mascot supplier has a system in place to provide post-sales support.

14) Is Drop shipping available from you

Yes, Drop shipping is common among the Electronics retailing business. Drop shipping means a reseller instruct their wholesale counterpart, which may be located in a duty free zone, to ship out orders according to the reseller and delivering directly to their customers in a as and when basis. The reseller does not actually take the job of stocking, packaging and shipping.
